A Barefoot Dream
After a succession of failed projects, retired pro soccer player Kim Won-kang visits East Timor, where he sees youngsters playing barefoot on rocky pitches. After discovering the country had no sports goods stores, he decides to sell athletic shoes to the unshod kids to get rich fast. Unfortunately, no one there can afford $60 for a pair of shoes, even on a generous installment plan, and before he knows it, he is coaching a squad of ragged 10-year-olds with bleak futures.
