Will Vinton, a contemporary Walt Disney, picked up a ball of clay and immediately realized its vast potential. Vinton, also referred to as the "Father of Claymation," transformed the animation industry in the 1980s and 1990s. Will Vinton's meticulously crafted American ideal, however, came crashing down after 30 years of being the unnoticed king of clay. The film, which is based on interviews with this flamboyant pioneer and his close associates, follows the rise and fall of the Emmy and Academy Award-winning Will Vinton Studios.
