For the Love of a Child

Support from US troops stationed in Asia and then from the United States helps two actresses to establish a foundation for mixed-race 'orphans' who are treated as pariah locally in 1959. Thus is born Childhelp, which later operates multi-disciplinary centers in the United States for abused and/or neglected children. Among them is intelligent Jacob Fletcher, whose stepfather, a lawyer, terrorizes him into oblivion and then relinquishes him after ten months in prison. Jacob's peers have their own terrible backgrounds, but professional, dedicated personnel assists the most of them decisively on the former farm through animal therapy.
