Jan Dara: The Beginning

Founded on a renowned Thai erotic novel, the film tells the story of Jan, a boy who grows up in a house lorded over by his debauched and sadistic father, Luang Wisnan. Place from the 1930?therefore the narrative recounts the growing distress of Jan, whose mother dies while giving birth to him and who's profoundly loathed by his own father. Jan grows up with Aunt Wad, his step mother, and he struggles to reconcile his sexual guilt and longing with various ladies in his lifetime, for example a girl called Hyacinth, whom he adores, also later Madame Boonleung, his dad's lover who becomes a secret to Jan's sexual awakening.
