Tremors 4: The Legend Begins

This prequel of the bone-chilling Tremors begins in the town of Rejection, Nev., in 1889, where 17 men perish under mysterious circumstances. Spooked by recent events, the miners who populate town leave in droves until there's nothing left but a shell of a residential area. They must do so until they, too, are eradicated from the face of the planet -- although it's upto the residents to reach the underside of the deaths.
