Bread
Bread is just a television sitcom, produced by the BBC written by Carla Lane and screened on BBC1 from 1 May 1986 to 3.
The show dedicated to the devoutly-Catholic and lengthy Boswell category of Liverpool, in the district of Dingle, headed by its matriarch Nellie via lots of ups and downs as they tried to make their way through life in Thatcher's Britain with no visible means of support. The street is currently Elswick Street. A family group called Boswell had also featured in Lane sitcom The Liver Birds and Lane admitted that the two families were probably related.
Nellie's feckless and husband, Freddie, abandoned her for another woman called as'Lilo Lill'. Her kiddies Aveline, Jack, Adrian, Joey and Billy continued to dwell in the home in Kelsall Street and donated money to the family finance , chiefly through the selling of goods and benefit fraud.
