Bernice Harrison of The Times believed the voice overs, which lent the feel of a gumshoe at a film noir to the character of Glen loathed that the show. However, David Stephenson of the Daily Express said the first episode opening sequence had hooked him. A real private private investigator interviewed from the Laura Barnett of The Guardian reported that he found that the series entertaining, however that it did not give an accurate portrayal of his profession.
