Monsters
Monsters is just a syndicated horror anthology series which originally conducted from 1988 to 1991 and also reran throughout the 1990s. As of 2011, Monsters airs on NBC Universal cable channel Chiller in week-day marathons that are sporadic.
In a similar vein to Tales from the Darkside,'' Monsters in some ways succeeded the show, as well as shared the same manufacturer. It differed in some respects. This show was more strictly horror, while Tales dabbled in stories of fantasy and science fiction. As its name implies, each episode of Monsters featured an alternative monster which the story concerned, by the puppet of a children's television program into mutated, weapon-wielding lab rats.
Very similar to Tales, however, the stories in chords were seldom straightforward action plots and frequently comprised some ironic twist in which the conceit or greed of a character could do him in. Increasing this is an expression of comedy frequently lost on horror productions which can lighten the audience's mood however in many cases added into their production's total eeriness.
