Rescue Me
Rescue Me is really a British romantic comedy tv series produced by Tiger Aspect Productions and broadcast in 2002 on BBC One. It was born, and written, by stars Sally Phillips as Katie Nash and David Nicholls, while at the same time she works on a woman who's recovering from a divorce. The series had been filmed from November. It ran for six episodes, averaging 3.4 million viewers and a 15% audience share of its Sunday night timeslot. The lower ratings meant it was not recommissioned for a second show, leaving the unresolved cliffhanger. Nicholls had written four episodes of this series that was un-made before detecting Rescue. Because of this, he chose a break from screenwriting to pay attention to his debut novel Starter for Ten. A cover version of"Rescue Me", conducted by Oliver Darley, is the show theme tune.
