The X Factor

The X Factor is a Australian television reality music contest, based on the original UK show. This show's first series was broadcast from February to May, nevertheless, since the next show it has been broadcast before grand final in November from July/August. The X Factor is broadcast on the Seven Network, and is Made by FremantleMedia Australia. The name"X Factor" describes a singing ability that is"unique" and"something" that makes for star quality. Network Ten held rights in 2005, but dropped the show after the first show due to poor ratings. This year, the Seven Network went in to a"bidding war" to gain rights for its show, and won and another series went into production. The X Factor has been renewed following a highly successful Australian Idol was broadcast throughout Network Ten. It is also broadcast in New Zealand on TV3. Two chain of The Xtra Factor were broadcast through Network Ten in 2005 and also 7Two at 2010. The show was not renewed for a third show in 2011. The first estimating panel lineup at 2005 contained John Reid, Mark Holden, and Kate Ceberano. When the show was revived this season, Ronan Keating, Guy Sebastian, Natalie Imbruglia, and Kyle Sandilands replaced the panel. Sandilands and imbruglia didn't go back to get series three and were replaced with Melanie Brown and Natalie Bassingthwaighte. Dannii Minogue and also Redfoo joined the board since replacements for both Sebastian and Brown at the series.
