To Love-Ru
To Love-Ru is a Japanese manga series written by Saki Hasemi and illustrated by Black Cat creator Kentaro Yabuki. Between April 24, 2006 and August 31, 2009, the manga was serialized in Shueisha's manga magazine Weekly Shnen Jump, and 18 tankbon volumes were published in Japan. In February 2008, an original story was released on a drama CD. Between April and September2008, a 26-episode anime series adaption by Xebec premiered in Japan. Between April 2009 and April 2010, Xebec created six original video animation episodes. Between October and December 2010, Xebec aired a 12-episode second season named Motto To-Love Ru. In August2008, a video game for the Nintendo DS was launched, and in October2008, a game for the PlayStation Portable was released. On October4,2010, a continuation of the manga titled To Love-Ru Darkness began publishing in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine. In October2012, Xebec began airing an anime TV series version of To-Love Ru Darkness. The title,, is an English loan word for "trouble," and "rabu" is an English loan word for "love." The title is a play on the words "love problem," which defines the series' harem component.
