12 Angry Men
During the trial of a man accused of killing his father, a single juror speaks out against the guilty verdict given by the other jurors because of their biases and preconceptions. Reginald Rose took ideas from both his own 1957 film, which was directed by Sidney Lumet, and the Westinghouse One television production that came before it. George C. Scott won a Golden Globe for his supporting role, but righteous juror Jack Lemmon didn't get one for Best Actor. However, Ving Rhames (for Don King) gave his award to Lemmon.
