Diplomacy
The night of August 24, 1944. The fate of Paris is at the hands of General von Choltitz, governor of Grand Paris, who's organizing, on Hitler's ordersto blow up the capital. Even the descendent of a long line of Prussian men, the overall never had any hesitation when it came to obeying orders. That really is what's on Swedish consul Raoul Nordling's mind because he chooses the stairs which leads at the Hôtel Meurice to the suite of General von Choltitz. The bridges to the Seine and the major monuments of Paris (including the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower) are mined using explosives, ready to be detonated. Armed with most of the weapons of diplomacy, the consul will attempt to convince the entire never to follow Hitler's sequence of destruction.
