Miss Hokusai
Enough full time: 1814. The place: Edo, now called Tokyo. A much artist of his time and now in his own mid-fifties, Tetsuzo works while in the garbage-loaded chaos of his own house-atelier, and could boast customers from all around Japan. He spends his days creating amazing art pieces, by the giant-size Bodhidharma portrayed to a 180 square foot sheet of newspaper, to some of sparrows painted on a rice grain that is very small. Third of Tetsuzo's created out of his union and four brothers, outspoken 23-year-old OEi has inherited her father's talent and stubbornness, and often she'd paint in the place of him, though uncredited. Her art is so powerful that some times contributes to trouble. "We're dad and daughter. With just two brushes and four chopsticks, I suppose we could always afford, in a sense or the other."
