The Hairdresser's Husband
The first scene of the movie is a flashback that takes place from the point of view of the main character, Antoine. We are made aware of his lifelong preoccupation with female barbers and stylists, which began at a very young age. The entirety of the movie is comprised of flashbacks, and several parallels are drawn with the previous events. Even while we do not know what Antoine has done with his life, we do know that he has achieved his boyhood goal of marrying a hairdresser.
