Decision Before Dawn
WWII is nearing its conclusion: Germany is in ruins but refuses to surrender. Because the US army lacks critical information about the German units operating on the other side of the Rhine, two German prisoners are sent to gather information. The plan is risky because the Gestapo has a highly effective network for identifying and apprehending spies and deserters. Furthermore, it is unclear whether "Tiger," who is unconcerned about dirty work as long as the pay is good, and war-weary "Happy," who could be easily betrayed by his emotions, are trustworthy agents. Happy is parachuted into Bavaria after Tiger and another American agent are successfully infiltrated. His mission: track down a powerful German armored unit on its way to the western front.
