France, around 1900. Coming from the vibrancy of all Paris, pert Célestine is secured like a chambermaid at Normandy. From the villa of the Lanlaire she encounters with the lecherous man of your place and his tyrannical, asexual and jealous wife. Célestine is determined in order to avoid the fate suffered by the cook Marianne who has secretly killed now and one child born out of wedlock despairingly realises .
