Joseph Kilian
Harold is the protagonist of the narrative, an outcast in a society ruled by authoritarian bureaucracy. Harold travels to Prague in search of an old acquaintance, Joseph Kilian. Harold rents a feline for the day after stumbling across a state-run cat lending establishment. Later, when he attempts to return the cat, he discovers that the business is closed. Harold continues his search for Kilian now that he has a furry buddy. Pavel Juracek's 40-minute short, written and directed by him, skilfully takes allegorical punches at personality cults and the absurdity of authoritarian regimes.
