Love Serenade

In the sleepy hamlet of Sunray, which is located on the Murray River in Australia, the only activities available are fishing and listening to the radio station in the community. D.J. Ken Sherry, a disconnected man in his mid-40s who has been divorced three times and has a hatchet face, arrives from the rush and bustle of Brisbane to handle the station. Dimity, who is only 20 years old and works in a Chinese restaurant that has few customers, and Vicki-Ann, who is a hairdresser and has a hope chest and imagines a happy future with Sherry based on little more than his arrival, both find him attractive. After spending the night with Ken, first Dimity and then Vicki-Ann come to the realization that he is either her boyfriend or her fiancé, respectively.
