Pelle the Conqueror

The end of the 19th century. A boat filled with emigrants concerns the island of Bornholm. One of these are Lasse along with his son Pelle who move to get work. They find employment but are treated as the lowest form of life. Pelle starts to speak Danish however is still plagued as a foreigner. However, not one of them really wants to offer up their dream of getting a life that is better .
