Starting Over

A man who is divorced falls in love, but he just can't get over his ex-wife. This affects his love life in funny ways. Based on Dan Wakefield's book. Burt Reynolds is a handsome middle-aged man who loses his self-confidence when his ambitious singer wife (Candice Bergen) dumps him. He starts to feel better when he starts dating an equally insecure teacher (Jill Clayburgh). But when the wife tries to make up with him by seducing him and then playing him a song that hurts like hell, he realizes where his loyalty lies.
