The Assassins
At the calendar year 198 BC, Cao Cao (Chow Yun Fat), Prime Minister of the Han Dynasty, ventured into the east and conquered China's greatest warrior Lu Bu, frightening every challenging warlord over the country. After taking the Han Emperor under his wing, Cao crowns himself King of Wei. He built a Bronze Sparrow Island to signify his ability and rumors spread he'd replace with the Emperor. Meanwhile, young fans Mu Shun (Hiroshi Tamaki) and Ling Ju (Liu Yi-Fei) are extracted out of the prison camp into a hidden tomb, where they spend five barbarous years together, training as assassins for a secret mission. At the calendar year 220 BC astronomical hints predict dramatic shift. Consequently, Cao's son Cao Pi (Yau Sam-Chi) and Cao's followers advocate Cao to eventually become the new Emperor - however unknown opposing forces plot .
