The Cousin

Nounours is the alias of a "relative" informant who has a special arrangement with the police: in exchange for his assistance, he receives 10% of the drugs collected. Inspector Gérard Delvaux takes over when his personal contact inspector Maurin commits suicide. In the meantime, Judge Lambert is revealing the police officers' criminal conduct. Her dogged investigations, which had cornered Maurin, now point to Gérard and Nounours as the source of the heroin that caused recent fatal overdoses. Nounours promises Gérard ever-larger catches, which he is determined to obtain before he is compelled to divulge Nounours' identity to judge Lambert.
