The Weapon, the Hour, the Motive

Beautiful young priest and teacher Don Giorgio has two girlfriends, Orchidea and Giulia. When he changes his mind and says he'll go back to the church, his attackers beat him to death. The next thing we know, Giulia's throat has been cut. Inspector Boito develops feelings for the prime suspect, Orchidea, and makes preparations to marry her. An inquisitive young man named Ferruccio, who is now being held in solitary confinement and sedated, appears to hold the key to solving the case. Is anyone going to believe him when he says he saw one of the murders happen?
