Aladdin
Aladdin is a animated tv series made by Walt Disney Television which aired from 1994 to 1995, primarily based on the original 1992 feature. It had been animated at Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand at the Offbeat Productions Studios. Coming on the heels of the direct-to-video movie The Return of Jafar, the show picked up where that installment left off, with Aladdin now living in the palace, participated to spunky and amazing Princess Jasmine. "Al" and Jasmine went together into peril among sorcererscreatures, creatures, thieves, and much more. The animated magic-carpet monkey sidekick Abu, and the fast-talking Genie came to help as did whining Iago, formerly Jafar's pet but currently an antihero. Jafar, having previously been destroyed at the picture, yields in one episode which serves as a crossover using Hercules: The Animated Series.
A number of the films' stars supplied the listeners of these TV counterparts, with the exclusion of Dan Castellaneta. Unlike The Little Mermaid spinoff show, this show doesn't feature any musical numbers.
The show originally aired on the syndicated The Disney Afternoon block and on Saturday mornings. Disney Channel re ran the series at the late-1990s before it was substituted with their lineup. The show was later displayed on Toon Disney, but has since been removed.
