The comedy, that takes place in a false desert town near the U.S.-Mexico boundary, centers around the intertwining daily lives of neighbors Bud Buckwald along with Ernesto Gonzales. Bud, a father of three, is really a Border Patrol agent who seems threatened by the influences that have transformed his locality. Living next door is an industrious immigrant, Ernesto and father of four, who is pleased to be making it. As the avenues of Ernesto and Bud start to cross, their loved ones become bound with conflict, romance and friendship.
