But on his high school graduation Mahiru, Itsuki's cousin, tells him that she is pregnant. Just then, a gate transports and of light emerges the 2 into the world of Granvania. Inside this land,"Impurities" have now already been causing a disturbance to the Stars, eventually plunging Granvania into chaos and disease. And Itsuki, now revealed to be one who is fated to match with the"Star Maidens", is seen as Granvania's ultimate expectation and was thus given the job to produce"Star Children" and combat the"impurities". And if the task is complete, Itsuki will never be able to return home.
