Countdown
Count down can be a game show involving word and number puzzles. It broadcast on Channel 4 and is made by ITV Studios. It is introduced by Nick Hewer, aided by Rachel Riley, using Frequent lexicographer Susie Dent. It was the first programme and 6 7 series have been broadcast since its introduction on 2 November 1982. With over 5,000 episodes, Countdown is just one of the longest-running match shows from the world, in addition to the original French edition et des lettres, which was running since 1965 continuously on tv that is French. Count down was initially recorded for 27 years at The Leeds Studios, before moving to Granada Studios Last Year, then over to MediaCityUK at Salford Quays at 2013.
The programme has been presented by Richard Whiteley for twenty decades, until his death at June 2005. It was then introduced by Des Lynam before Des O'Connor before the end of 2008, the end of 2006, along with Jeff Stelling before the end of 2011. The existing secretary is Nick Hewer.
The show was, left by carol Vorderman, the show's co-host, who had been in the programme since it began at the exact same time as O'Connor, in December 2008. Rachel Riley replaced her.
A star guest offers a short interlude before the first advertisement break, and features in most programme. The two contestants in each incident compete in three disciplines letters rounds, at which the contestants attempt to make the longest word possible from nine letters. Three amounts rounds, at which the contestants must use arithmetic to accomplish a more random objective number . And the conundrum, a buzzer round in which the contestants compete to solve a anagram.
