I am Your Teacher

I am Sam is a television series that debuted in South Korea in 2007 and starred Yang Dong-geun, Park Min-young, Park Joon-gyu, Son Tae-young, and T.O.P in his first acting role. KBS2 broadcast all 16 episodes of the show on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 from the 6th of August 2007 through the 2nd of October 2007. Yang takes the role of a nerdy, straight-arrowed, and under-qualified high school teacher in the Korean adaptation of the Japanese comic book Very Private Lesson. In exchange for one million won, he agrees to serve as a live-in tutor for the troublemaking daughter of a notorious mobster. The ratings for the drama were around ordinary, coming in at roughly 6.5 percent. The title is a play on words, as the word sam in Korean approximately translates to "teacher" in slang. As a result, the English translation of the title is "I am Your Teacher."
