In the Warring States Period of Early China (475-221 BCE), Shin and Hyou are war-orphans from the kingdom of Qin. They dream of one demonstrating themselves on the battlefield. 1 afternoon, however, Hyou is carried to the palace with way of a minister. Winding up on the losing side of a power-struggle, Hyou oversees to go back to the village, barely living. Shin meets with a boy who resembles Hyou. For today he is the king of Qin. He will grow to be the emperor Shi Huangdi.
