Living Single
Living Single is an American sitcom that aired on the Fox network for five seasons between August 22, 1993 and January 1, 1998. The sitcom focused on six friends who share personal and professional adventures while residing in a Brooklyn brownstone. All five seasons of its run, Living Single was among the top five in African-American ratings, making it one of the most popular African-American sitcoms of its day. Sister Lee, the production firm of Yvette Lee Bowser, co-produced the series with Warner Bros. Television. In the 1990s, African American and Latino viewers flocked to Fox's Thursday night lineup of Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover, in contrast to NBC's "Must See TV" In reality, these three shows had the greatest ratings among black households during 1996–1997.
