Miss Ripley

Miss Ripley is the narrative of orphan Jang Mi Ri who, like the Talented Mr. Ripley, lives her life from one deception to the next. The plot of the film is partially based on the true story of a discredited professor at Dongguk University who lied about her educational background. When she is asked about her degree during an interview for a job, she lies about it. This is the moment when her downward spiral begins in earnest. The story of Miss Ripley continues on from there by interweaving itself into the lives of two extremely significant adversaries: Jang Myung Hoon and Yutaka. Both of these characters work in the hotel sector and eventually find themselves falling in love with the dishonest main character. Hee Joo, a friend of Mi Ri's from her youth, is able to see right through all of her lies, which further complicates the situation.
