Sliders

The young prodigy Quinn Mallory discovers the key to opening the doorway to an endless number of Earths while working in the basement of his home in San Francisco. Quinn brings his co-worker Wade Wells and his teacher Professor Maximillian Arturo to see his new invention while it is being tested. But a rise in power and an unexpected departure leave all three of them, as well as a washed-up soul singer by the name of Rembrandt "Crying Man" Brown, trapped in a parallel reality. Now they must "slide" from world to world, not just adjusting to the different environments they find themselves in, but also working toward the goal of returning to their own world. Will they ever be able to get back?
