The Cosby Show
The Cosby Show is a American television situation comedy starring Bill Cosby, that aired from September 20, 1984. The show centers on the family, an African American family.
According to TV Guide, the show"has been TV's largest hit in the 1980s, also almost single-handedly revived the sitcom genre along with NBC's ratings fortunes". Originally, the show had been thrown to ABC, which lacked it. Entertainment Weekly stated that The Cosby Show helped make possible that a bigger Assortment of displays predicated on people of African American descent, from In Living Color. The Cosby Show was founded on comedy routines. Sitcoms, such as do it yourself and Everyone Loves Raymond, will follow that pattern. The show spawned the spinoff A Different World, that ran for six months from 1987 to 1993.
