The Hospital
The Hospital is a 2006 drama starring Jerry Yan, Leon Dai, Janine Chang, Zhang Guozhu, Ng Man Tat and Tang Zhiping. It directed by Cài Yuè Xun and was produced by Yang Ming International Production. The series comprises thirtynine 60-minute episodes and was boardcasted on free to air China Television from 1-5 August 2006 to 6 October 2006, Mondays to Fridays at 20:00.
Author Hou Wenyong bases on the 2000 publication of the identical title the story of The Hospital. It depicts prestige and the power struggle in a national hospital in Taiwan, in addition to the human relations within the community. Because of the resemblances in the title and also story putting, Hou's book is often compared alongside the Japanese publication Shiroi Kyot?, written by Toyoko Yamasaki. Both works are accommodated into television show in Asia.
In 2007the drama has been nominated for eight awards at the 42nd Golden Bell Awards and won Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series and Best Directing for a Television Series.
