The Nevers

In the last years of Victoria's regime, London is besieged by the "Touched": individuals-- mostly females-- who all of a sudden manifest unusual capacities, some enchanting, some really disturbing. Amongst them are Amalia True, a mysterious, quick-fisted widow, and Penance Adair, a dazzling young creator.
